Sometimes you don’t need to go far to feel like you’ve really gotten away—and that’s exactly what our 3-day RV trip to Malad, Idaho, was all about.

We planned this quick little getaway on purpose, just a couple of hours from home, but it felt like a whole different world. Malad surprised us with its quiet charm, beautiful scenery, and low-key vibes that were exactly what we needed to relax and recharge.

We stayed at a simple campground near the reservoir just north of town. Nothing fancy, but clean, peaceful, and full of those slow, scenic moments you can’t get in a crowded RV park. And bonus: it had hookups and plenty of space to unwind.
